It's easy to reach Merchiston Tower by rail. Hop on a train to Edinburgh Waverley, which is served by LNER and Scotrail services from London and Glasgow. From Edinburgh Waverley, it's just a 40-minute walk to Merchiston Tower. If you don't fancy walking, there are plenty of bus services that'll get you there, including the 5 towards Hynter's Trust, 16 towards Colinton and 11 towards Hyvots Bank.
