It's easy to reach Harwich Redoubt by rail. Hop on a train to Dovercourt, which is served by Greater Anglia services from Manningtree and Harwich Town. From Dovercourt it's just a 12-minute walk to Harwich Redoubt. Simply exit the station, and walk east. Turn right onto Station Road, then turn left onto the High Street and turn right onto Barrack Lane. Turn left again and you'll find the fort on your left.
