Get ready for some high-speed action at Donington Park motorsport circuit, located next to the impressive Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit was originally part of the Donington Hall estate - when it was created during the inter-war years, it was 3,518 metres long, and the same width as a normal road. In 1933, former motorcycle racer Fred Craner built a wider track at a modest cost of £12,000. Despite some early success, the circuit went out of action after it was commandeered by the military during WW2. It wasn't until the 1970s that it reopened, and over the next four decades it steadily grew into one of Britain's premier motorsport venues. Although a popular place for car racing, Donington Park has been dominated by motorcycle racing in recent years. It was the chosen home of the British round of the MotoGP motorcycling championship throughout the 1990s. Today, the circuit is also home to the Donington Historic Festival and the World Superbikes British round.

On the circuit's site, you'll also find the Donington Grand Prix Exhibition, the largest Grand Prix car collection in the world. You might find yourself catching a rock band here too - many musical events have taken place here over the years, including shows by Iron Maiden, Metallica, and AC/DC.
