Clifton Rocks Railway is a remarkable disused funicular railway in the shadow of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. This underground railway now has a visitor centre run by volunteers, accessed from the top station.
It's easy to reach Clifton Rocks Railway in Bristol, by train. Simply hop on a train to Clifton Down station - then it's a substantial walk through the streets - about 15-20 mins, but it's a fascinating area to explore.
