Bournemouth Fisherman's Walk Cliff Lift is a funicular railway that avoids the steep hill between the town and the seafront. It’s historic too, and a much more enjoyable way of getting up or down than the paths! Funiculars have operated in Europe since 1862, and in Britain since 1875.
It's easy to reach Bournemouth Fisherman's Walk Cliff Lift, in Dorset, by train. Simply hop on a train to Bournemouth station and take a leisurely stroll through the town from the station.
