Visit Bantock House and explore the history of Wolverhampton and its people in the period settings of the former Bantock family home. Restored to its Edwardian glory, Bantock House is a hidden treasure set within 43 acres of parkland and surrounded by delightful Dutch gardens and popular courtyard cafe.
Complete with carved oak-panelled rooms, decorative glass, tiles and period furnishings inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, lives are revealed alongside displays of locally made enamels, japanned ware, jewellery, toys, dolls and Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
It’s 34 minutes on foot to Bantock House. Walk over Railway Drive and head west down Lichfield Street and continue down Darlington Street towards Chapel Ash, turn left onto Merridale Road and Bantock House is located on your right. Alternatively, you can catch bus number 3 or 15 from the bus station located at the top of Railway Drive.
