It's easy to reach Anderton Boat Lift in Anderton, by train. Simply hop on a train to Northwich station - then it's a pleasant walk along the river Weaver to get there, but the Number 4 bus from Northwich interchange will also get you there. There are taxis at the station, too - it's a 12-minute ride.
