About Villa Park
Villa Park is one of England's most historic football stadiums. It has been home to Birmingham's Aston Villa FC for over a hundred years, and it has also hosted more FA Cup Semi-Finals than any other ground, thanks to its location in the centre of the country. It has also been the venue for England internationals, European finals, rugby matches, rock concerts and religious gatherings.
Aston Villa FC is one of the oldest clubs in the country. It was founded in 1874, and was a member of the first professional Football League in 1888, as well as the new Premier League in 1992. The team has been decorated at domestic level many times, and won the European Cup in 1982 - at time of writing it remains one of only five English clubs to win that competition. High-profile games aside, Villa Park doesn't tend to sell out for home matches. Tickets bought through the club cost between £20 and £45.
Outside of match days, tours of the stadium are available at 10.30am, 1pm and 3pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am and 1pm on Sundays. The tour includes the dressing rooms, the tunnel and the pitch, the post-match interview room and the trophy display.
