Travelling by train to the Royal Observatory is super-simple. The nearest railway station to the Royal Observatory is Greenwich, which is served by Southeastern and Thameslink services throughout the day. It's 15 minutes to the Royal Observatory on foot. When you leave the station head towards Greenwich Park via Circus Street. When you enter the park, the Observatory is well signposted.

The Royal Observatory is full of wonders for all to enjoy. You'll find it jam-packed with a fascinating historic collection and if that wasn't enough the Royal Observatory is the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Prime Meridian of the world and London’s Planetarium. There is something for everyone here and a great day out.

Visit the Royal Observatory website for opening information.
