The planned Coventry Arena station will be closed on match days for the foreseeable future - so if you're getting the train to Ricoh Arena, the advice from the venue is to use Coventry station in the city centre and complete your journey by bus or taxi. Coventry station is well connected, with services from London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley and Bournemouth. Taxis to Ricoh Arena will take around 15 minutes.

About Ricoh Arena

The Ricoh Arena is a modern sports and entertainment complex in Coventry, owned by Wasps rugby union club and also the home ground of Coventry City FC. Wasps play at the highest level of rugby union, and the Ricoh Arena has hosted Heineken Cup matches as well as international football during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Both rugby and football take place in the Stadium Bowl, with a seating capacity of 32,000.

Alongside the Stadium Bowl, the Ricoh Arena complex also houses the Jaguar Exhibition Hall. This is a 12,000 capacity indoor arena, often used for music events and for the Wasps rugby fan village during the build-up to matches. It has also hosted Davis Cup tennis. The complex also includes a hotel and a casino, as well as the Arena Shopping Park, an indoor shopping centre with numerous high street brands.

Wasps RFC are one of the most successful rugby clubs of the modern era, winning numerous championships as well as the Heineken Cup on two occasions. Depending on the fixture, tickets for Wasps games start at around £15. Coventry City FC tickets start at £13. Tickets can be booked direct from the clubs' websites.
