Crowd Alerts is an app feature, which helps you, and your fellow passengers, see if certain parts of a train (front, middle and back) are busy. Use our app to see real-time reports in your journey search results and share your own too.
Crowd Alerts gives you even more live journey info to help you travel safely, whenever you decide to travel again.
Watch our new video to see how Crowd Alerts works in our app.
Orange icons mean users have reported the whole train as busy, blue means users have reported on one section of the train (front, middle or back).
Tap the icon to see the busiest sections of your chosen train. The number in the icon shows how many people have reported.
Let your fellow passengers know if your train is busy or not.
Crowd Alerts is powered by real-time passenger reports. Open the Live Tracker for your journey and give a thumbs up if there’s space onboard and thumbs down if it’s busy. We show the number of passengers who have shared feedback for specific services in the search results, to give you as much info as possible about trains you’re looking to take.
These reports come from your fellow passengers and they’re continually updated in real-time as passengers share more feedback. Tap the Crowd Alerts icon to see how many people have reported on each service, and when.
Make sure you’ve got the latest version of our app.
If your train is busy, you may be able to catch the next available service. This will depend on your ticket’s flexibility, the discretion of station staff and your train operator.
As lockdown restrictions begin to lessen, we want to give you even more live journey info to help you travel safely, following the latest government travel advice.
