Carrefour de l'Europe 2 1000 Bruxelles Belgique
Brussels Central Station (or Bruxelles Central as locals call it) is the city's main train station, therefore also the busiest one. Opened in 1952, after a series of interruptions due to the war and related economic difficulties, today the station presents six tracks and a direct access to the Brussels metro station (Gare Centrale - Centraal Station) via a pedestrian tunnel. Located in the heart of the city, travellers will find the ticket office right on the ground floor
If you're flying in to or out of Brussels local trains connect to Brussels Airport (Zaventem) with departures every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, taking exactly 18 minutes; and to Brussels South Charleroi Airport taking 60 minutes.
If you're visiting the city for the first time, a tourist office is located at the station where you can pick up a free map, purchase tickets for tours and activities plus any accommodation needs.
