Getting to Wimbledon couldn't be easier by train, just head to Wimbledon station and it's a 24-minute walk from there to Wimbledon and the home of tennis. If you're already in London then head to Southfields Underground Station on the District line. From here it's just a 15-minute walk from the station to Wimbledon and the closest of all the underground stations.

Founded originally as a croquet club in 1868, the All England Club has hosted Wimbledon since 1877, making Wimbledon the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Did you know there are 54,250 balls used during the Championships period and 142,000 portions of English strawberries are consumed throughout the event?

Onsite there's also the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club Museum celebrating the history of Wimbledon and well worth a visit when you're not here to watch The Championships and looking for a day out.
