Watching UEFA EUROs Championship in the UK
If you weren’t lucky enough to win tickets to watch the UEFA European Championship in France, don’t worry, we’ve researched some great places that are showing the England and Wales matches live, coincidentally they’re all next to train stations.
The Railway Tavern or The Railway Bell
Two’s company as the saying goes, so we’ll kick off with two for the price of one (train ticket that is!). Either side of New Barnet station you will find a pretty darn good pub. The Railway Bell has a beer garden, perfect for breaking out in the sunshine at half time. Then again, The Railway Tavern has outside TV’s so you only need to go inside to restock your glass. The game is on.
Nearest Station: New Barnet
The Station, Fleet
The Station, or as it is formally known, The Station Pizza Kitchen and Bar, is a great place to catch the match. Not only are there massive screens everywhere, there is a whole lot of pizza to be eaten, match snacks sorted! They’ll be showing all England and Wales matches.
Nearest Station: Fleet
The Station, Woking
The Station in Woking boasts 7 screens and a large projector, which beggars the question – is this a pub or a cinema?! What we do know is that they show Sky Sports live all the time, so if you’re on your travels and need a footie hit, this is your place. They’ll be showing all England and Wales matches.
Nearest Station: Woking
The Railway Hotel
A bit of healthy competition with The Station, The Railway has 6 screens… but 2 large projectors, you will be spoiled for choice. And there are no chances to miss those crucial match moments. It’s time to dust off your kit. They’ll be showing all England and Wales matches.
Nearest Station: Penarth
So there we have it, plenty of on-journey venues to keep you match side for the biggest footie sesh of the year. If you’re not travelling near the above, take a look here.
