Home for Christmas
We know it’s a bit early, OK, a lot early, to be talking about Christmas, but hear us out. If you’re planning to travel in December – to see the parents, the grandparents, Aunt Mabel and Aunt Mabel’s cat, the time for booking your trains is now.
The train companies have released their Christmas and New Year timetables, which means the cheapest fares are available to get you ho-ho-home for Christmas. The catch is the closer to Christmas we get the less cheap tickets will remain – bah humbug. So, it’s pretty simple, if you’d rather be spending your Christmas bonus on mince pies and mulled wine, you need to be super-organised and book your train tickets now.
If you need a bit more convincing, take a look at our winter wonderland graphic comparing the options of driving or taking the train…
