Changes to LNER services 2nd November - 1st December 

Due to engineering works at London Kings Cross Station and along the East Coast Main Line, LNER have announced changes to their services on Saturdays and Sundays throughout November and December:

Fewer services will run, diversions and rail replacement buses will be in operation and services are expected to be busier than usual.

Please select your date of travel for more information-

From 1pm trains to and from London King’s Cross will be diverted via Lincoln, this means journey times could be extended by up to an hour and a half.

  • LNER will be running hourly trains between London King's Cross and the North East/ Scotland
  • Trains between London King’s Cross and Leeds are reduced to every two hours.
  • Other trains to and from the north will start and terminate at Doncaster.
  • Rail replacement coaches will be provided for journeys to or from Grantham, Newark and Retford.

LNER will start running trains later than usual.

  • The first train from London King’s Cross towards Leeds will depart at 11:03
  • The first train from London King’s Cross towards Scotland will depart at 11:22.
  • Trains to London King’s Cross will be diverted via Lincoln until noon, this means journey times could be extended by up to an hour and a half.
  • Rail replacement coaches will be provided for journeys to or from Grantham, Newark and Retford.

Timetables for replacement buses are still being updated, please check the website or apps closer to your date of travel. 
 
Bikes are not permitted on replacement buses, unless they can be fully folded.
 
We’d also recommend you book a seat reservation for your journey, if you don’t have one already.
