Planning a trip from London to Marseille and not sure of the best way to travel between the two? Whilst it’s possible to travel by plane, train and automobile – taking the train certainly has its benefits.
Not only is it an eco-friendlier way to travel, taking the train means you can depart from and arrive into both city centres, bring plenty of luggage with you and enjoy wide comfortable seating and free WiFi on the way to the South of France.
The first part of the journey sees you hop on board a high-speed Eurostar service, whizz under the Channel Tunnel and arrive into Paris, where you’ll change for an even quicker TGV high-speed service to take you on to Marseille. During the summer months – usually between May and mid-September – Eurostar even offer some direct services between these two destinations! Once you arrive into Marseille, the station is centrally located meaning it’s just a short walk to the picturesque Old Port, where you can relax with a drink and watch the boats sail by.
