Maximum flexibility
You can change the time, date, and passenger name as many times as you like, free of charge, up to 3 minutes before departure. If you can’t travel, you are entitled to an 80% refund. If you can’t travel, you are entitled to a 60% refund. The Economy fare includes the Extra Tempo (Extra Time) service.

Our Journey Planner can help you find the guaranteed best price for Italo tickets on the days you wish to travel.
To find the best Italo ticket offers online, on Trainline’s website or app, you can:
In general, if you want to buy your train tickets at the cheapest price, we recommend booking at least 28 days in advance. The lowest prices are available for a limited number of seats, so for popular routes, it’s even better to book around 3 months in advance to find these special fares. Italo tickets are typically available up to 6 months before the departure date.
We also suggest checking prices for higher travel classes, as you can often find tickets at very good rates.
To modify your Italo ticket, simply head to ‘My Bookings’. If you have booked multiple tickets at the same time for the same journey, you can make changes for the entire group in one step from this page.
However, if you want to modify just one ticket from a multi-ticket booking (leaving the details of the other passengers unchanged), you can do so by directly contacting Italo’s customer service. Call +39 0689 371892 (fees may apply) to speak with an operator who will handle your request.

Planning your route through Italy by train? Take a look at some of the popular journeys served by Italo and get inspired!
I love travelling by train because it brings me right into the city centre, and I can enjoy beautiful scenery from my window. And when I travel with Italo, time flies by, thanks to the onboard WiFi and Italolive entertainment portal – not just films and TV series, but also podcasts and online magazines. I don’t even worry about my phone running out of battery, as I can plug it into one of the individual plug sockets available on board.
Thanks to Trainline’s booking service, I know that everything I need to board the train is right on my phone: with just a click, I can open my e-ticket for my Italo train or check the platform number.
When I travel for work, I usually choose to travel in Prima Class for guaranteed maximum comfort. There's plenty of legroom and space for my laptop, and I can enjoy the complimentary welcome service (snacks and drinks). If I’m travelling with colleagues, I prefer to book the Salotto, which turns into our meeting room – just like being in the office!
