The hit Netflix series starring Emma Mackey, Asa Butterfield, and Gillian Anderson is as raunchy, awkward, hilarious, and serious as its title suggests. The premise: Otis is a late-bloomer when it comes to sex, at least in practice. The awkward high schooler’s mom is a sex therapist, inadvertently making Otis one of the most knowledgeable sources on the subject at Moordale Secondary.
Even if all you watch is the first season, you’ll be captivated by Sex Education’s filming locations that showcase the beauty of the British countryside along the border of England and Wales.

As of now, Sex Education is set to end its run on Netflix with Season 4. There are no plans for a next season of Sex Education, though if Netflix plays “never have I ever revived a canceled show”, they’d have to put a finger down.

Caerleon Campus | “Moordale Secondary School”
Caerlon | Closest station: Newport
Sex Education gets points for an on-the-nose filming location. Instead of creating a campus from scratch, they used the Caerleon Campus, formerly the satellite school for The University of South Wales.
The Paget Rooms | “Moordale’s Auditorium”
Penarth | Closest station: Dingle Road
Part of Moordale isn’t in Caerlon, but rather Penarth. Just south of Cardiff, The Paget Rooms is a theater and dance hall available for rent if you feel like shooting your own Sex Education Season 5.

St Fagans National History Museum | “Cavendish Sixth Form College”
Cardiff | Closest station: Waun-gron Park
At least Moordale was filmed at a school and its auditorium set was in a theater; Cavendish College is none of the above. The switch from Moordale to Cavendish saw the cast and crew film at St Fagans National History Museum in Cardiff, Wales.

Perhaps the most popular Sex Education filming location, the home of Otis and Jean is just as adorable in real life. The Chalet has a dreamy location on the Welsh-English border in the Wye Valley, and while it is a working B&B, we assume the wait list is longer than your unwatched Netflix queue.
Old Wireworks Tramway Bridge | “The Bridge”
Tintern | Closest station: Chepstow
Scratching your head at this one? We did, too. In Season 1, the Wireworks Bridge in Tintern saw Maeve and Otis cross it. Unfortunately, it was scheduled for renovations, so in Season 4, the bridge is actually the Duke of Beaufort Iron Bridge: a 1800s bridge overlooking the Monmouth Viaduct. That bridge is about 15 minutes north in Monmouth.

Westonbirt School | “Wallace University”
Tetbury | Closest station: Kemble
Maeve may go to Wallace University in Wisconsin but Emma Mackey filmed her scenes at the Westonbirt School in Tetbury. This independent boarding and day school is a mansion in the Cotswolds, a short train ride from London.
Werngochlyn Farm | “Adam’s Farm”
Abergavenny | Closest station: Abergavenny
Another Sex Education filming location that you can call home for the night, Werngochlyn Farm is the real farm in Abergavenny that Adam works at. There are four cottages that sleep up to six people, each with access to an indoor pool, children’s play area, and game room.
