The pen that wrote this gripping drama dripped equal parts wit, vitriol, and humor, each word teetering between meme-worthy quips and unforgivable malice you’d hope a parent would never say to their children (even if they are not serious people).

What is Succession about?
Succession is a sharp drama set in New York City following the Roy family, owners of one of the world’s largest media companies. When patriarch Logan Roy decides to step down from his role as Waystar Royco’s CEO, his three children fight for control of the company.

Succession stars Brian Cox as Logan Roy, media mogul and father to Kendall (played by Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin). Other supporting cast members include Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Peter Friedman, and Matthew Macfadyen.
Will there be a Succession season 5?
No spoilers here, friends: We won’t completely cross it out, but we have a pretty grave feeling that Succession is over for good. The family tug-of-war has concluded and, unless HBO creates spinoff sequels (looking at you Billions, Millions, and Trillions), the Roy family took their final bow in season 4.
Where is the pub Succession filmed at in the UK?
The pub featured in season 1 of Succession where Stewy and Kendall met is called The Cross Keys Inn. It’s located in Bredon’s Hardwick, a remote English village that makes for an easy day trip from London. Hop the train at London Paddington, make a change or two, and you’ll arrive at Ashchurch for Tewkesbury, two miles from The Cross Keys Inn’s bar, in around 2 hours. Make sure to check out Eastnor Castle, the Succession UK wedding location for Shiv and Tom, only a half hour by cab or an hour by train from Ashchurch for Tewkesbury.

Where was Succession filmed in Scotland?
Scotland was one of the Succession season 2 locations for filming and you can plan your day around these stunning sites. Both Brian Cox and his character Logan Roy are from Dundee, Scotland, where the show filmed Waystar’s 50th anniversary at the V&A museum. Take the train from Edinburgh (Waverley) to Dundee and it’s only a 90-min ride (plenty of time to practice your rap skills). Succession also saw the characters stay at the Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder, a mere 40-min train ride from Dundee. And, last but not least, you should take the 90-min train ride from Dundee to Glasgow to have a pint at Laurieston Bar like Roman did.
Is Lake Como in Succession?
Yes, Lake Como was featured in Succession, and it doesn’t surprise us one bit. This fabulous part of Northern Italy is a playground for the real-life rich and famous (as well as an effortless day trip from Milan). Villa La Cassinella was the filming location for Lukas Matsson’s home.

Where is the location of the Italian wedding in Succession?
Season 3 sees the Roy family travel to Tuscany, Italy, for their mother’s wedding. The question of where in Tuscany is the Succession wedding has a two-part answer: Villa Cetinale near Siena, Italy, is the mansion where the wedding ceremony took place (a cab ride away from Siena train station).
What hotel in Italy is in Succession? That would be La Foce estate, which was where the Roy kids stayed, except for Kendall, who stayed at Dimora Buonriposo country house (both a taxi away from the Montepulciano train station).
What are the Succession filming locations in Norway?
Like Brian Cox returning to the UK, the Swedish-born Alexander Skarsgård (Lukas Matsson) got to spend time in his native Scandinavia when Succession filmed throughout Norway, including at the Juvet Landscape Hotel and in the mountains above the town of Åndalsnes.
