If you're a member of the loyalty scheme My Thalys World, don't worry - you'll keep your points and be invited to join Club Eurostar.

Thalys trains

Thalys trains take passengers along high-speed routes across Western Europe, including destinations in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. With speeds reaching up to 300 km/h, you can be whistled through the countryside and arrive before you know it!

Despite being built in the mid-1990's, Thalys trains are still some of the most comfortable and fastest trains in continental Europe. Thalys trains are built using models of the French TGV high-speed train, which is evident in the spacious seats and smooth ride passengers get, regardless of what comfort class they are in.

The distinctive colour scheme, along with the Thalys trains imposing size, makes them hard to miss on any platform. With three classes: Standard, Comfort and Premium, travelling with Thalys is one of the most ideal ways to navigate Europe.

Ruby: Thalys' new trainsets

What's new?

The international carrier Thalys has launched its new "Ruby" trainsets to address environmental matters.

Seen from the outside, the trains don't seem to have changed. Inside, however, the new carriages are more spacious and comfortable thanks to a completely new design.

Thalys trains can now accommodate 28 extra passengers on board. They also come with more space for luggage and a new area that allows you to take up to 2 non-folding bikes with you.

Even more comfort:

Thalys also innovates with adjustable lighting according to the hours of the day, 22 information screens, USB ports, jacket racks and a completely redesigned bar area, equipped with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The new "Ruby" trainsets are fitted with LED lighting to obtain a more ecological power consumption and toilets with clear water that do not use any chemicals.

Focus on:

  • The new design
  • The bar car and its "Kiosk"
  • Additional luggage spaces (400 in Standard and 25 in Comfort and Premium)
