OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER (OR AGE OF MAJORITY IN HIS/HER/THEIR STATE/JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE) AS OF DATE OF ENTRY. 

 

1. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Trainline Score a Europe trip sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins July 31, 2024 at 12:00AM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) and ends July 31, 2024 at 11:59PM PDT (the “Sweepstakes Period”).  

 

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in his/her/their state/jurisdiction of residence), whichever is greater as of date of Entry. Employees of Trainline PLC (“Sponsor”), 360PR, (“Administrator”), their respective affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, and advertising agencies, promotional agencies and agencies/parties engaged in the development, production and distribution of promotion materials (collectively the “Sweepstakes Entities”), and each of their respective employees, directors, officers, assigns and agents and their immediate family members (defined as parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, children and grandchildren) and those living in the same household (whether related or not) of each are not eligible to participate or win. The information you provide will only be used in the event you are selected as a Sweepstakes winner or if you have indicated that you would like to receive additional information from Sponsor. 

 

1. HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, attend the Trainline-branded attraction stand which is located in the Real Betis fan park erected at the SnapDragon Stadium, 2101 Stadium Wy, San Diego, CA 92108, USA (the “Venue”), and complete the online registration form consisting of first name, last name, home State and email address, in order to be entered into the Sweepstakes (“Entry”). Limit one Entry per person, per email address.  

 

  Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's Entries and that entrant may be disqualified. By entering, you agree that you are solely responsible for all internet access and data charges that you incur. All such charges are billed by and payable to your internet or mobile service provider. Please contact your participating service provider for pricing plans, participation status and details. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected Entries, which will be disqualified. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar Entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to, sweepstakes entry services to create fraudulent email addresses and/or identities) will void all Entries by that entrant. In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed the entrant. “Authorized email account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder associated with the Entry.  

 

1. RANDOM DRAWINGS: One (1) winner, and one (1) reserve winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about August 1, 2024 from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. A random drawing will be conducted by Administrator, an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The odds of winning a prize will depend on the total number of eligible Entries received for the Sweepstakes Period. In the event that an insufficient number of eligible Entries are received to award the prize, Sponsor is not obligated to award any prize. The Winner will be informed on the email they will have provided and will have 48 hours to answer and confirm acceptance of the prize. If the Winner does not want to receive the prize or has not met the condition of entry, then the prize will be awarded to the reserve winner that will then become the Winner. 
    

1. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”): One (1) prize consisting of: One (1) trip for Prize Winner (“Prize Trip”) consisting of a rail journey on some of Europe's popular routes (in Sponsor’s sole discretion). The itinerary can be chosen by the Winner , provided that it includes a selection of routes communicated in advance by Trainline.com and at least two destinations from a curated list of destinations provided by the Sponsor. The Winner may travel with any person of their choice (but if a minor, it must be their child/charge).  The Prize Trip will have to be started before September 30tht, 2025, by the means of: (i) $2,000 in vouchers redeemable on trainline.com, comprising of 10x $200 single-use vouchers, to book rail tickets before September 1st, 2025;  (ii) $8,000 travel stipend for any other travel expenses like air transportation, accommodations, food and beverage (to be transferred in cash to the Winner’s bank account within 6 weeks, once provided).  

ARV OF PRIZE: $10,000. 

 

All federal, state and/or local income and other taxes on the actual value of the prize are each Winner’s sole responsibility. Winners are solely responsible for any and all expenses not expressly stated in the Prize Trip description herein, including but not limited to, ground transportation in the United States and in Europe, air transportation, in-room hotel charges (e.g., mini-bar, room service, telephone, movies, etc.), meals, beverages, gratuities, gasoline, parking, tolls, souvenirs, insurance, travel upgrades, baggage fees, and personal incidentals.  Prize Winner will be required to provide a valid credit card at the time of hotel check-in and will be solely responsible for any and all charges to Winner’s hotel room during his/her Prize Trip. All Prize details not specified in the Official Rules will be determined in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Prize Winner will be required to travel before September 30th 2025. They must depart and return on Sponsor designated period.    In the event the Prize Winner cannot travel on period designated by Sponsor, Winner will be disqualified, and the Prize will not be awarded. In the event the Winner does not travel before September 30th 2025 (unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Prize Winner and the Sponsor) they will repay any travel stipend already received. Travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor and travel dates and arrangements are subject to travel restrictions. All Prize elements must be redeemed at the same time. Winner may extend their stay in Europe at their own expense. Prize Winner’s guest or any guest (or Winner on behalf of minor guest) must execute a release of liability prior to use of prize. Travel is subject to terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and those set forth by selected travel providers (and specifically trainline.com), availability may vary, and material restrictions may apply. Winner  will be solely responsible for obtaining a valid U.S. Government issued identification (including a valid US Passport) prior to travel and any associated costs for these requirements. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers, such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Sponsor shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage or other items. If the Winner is unable to or cannot otherwise fully enjoy the prize due to any reason, Sponsor shall have the option at its sole discretion of being relieved of liability for fulfillment of that Prize award, and no other compensation in lieu of that Prize will be awarded. All travel is subject to any and all restrictions instituted by the CDC and/or Department of Homeland Security, as required and if borders are closed due to COVID/any pandemic, Sponsor is not responsible and Sponsor may substitute prize of equal or greater value, in their sole discretion. All travelers must agree to abide by the latest travel guidelines/requirements at time of travel. All travelers must also pass any required medical testing (at their own expense) and comply with any additional requirements, at any time, that may be required or recommended by any government agency, airline, or Sponsor, including without limitation, passing one or more COVID-19 antigen and screening tests, and testing negative for COVID-19 or having been vaccinated against COVID-19. Travelers may also be required to execute any assumption of risk and/or other documents relating to COVID-19 or he/she may not be permitted to travel or attend the meet and greet. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion of prize) with one of comparable or greater value should the prize become unavailable for any reason. Sponsor shall not have any responsibility or liability whatsoever for any property loss, damage, personal injury, or death, in connection with any prize provided pursuant to the Sweepstakes and/or any person’s participation in the Sweepstakes. 

 

1. GENERAL RULES: Voucher redeemable on trainline.com will be sent to winners via email to the email address provided at the time of registration within 6-8 weeks of the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Period. Return of prize as undeliverable may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize (or portion of the prize). Prize will not be re-issued if lost or deleted by winner. Prize winners and all entrants, as a condition of Entry into the Sweepstakes and/or acceptance of prize, agree to release and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an Entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes, the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded, or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement or offering of the prizes. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or use or redemption of prize. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use each winner’s name, likeness, Entry, and any photographs, as applicable, for promotional purposes (including any possible public relations opportunities) without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; violates these Official Rules; gains unauthorized access to accounts; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, for errors that may occur in promotion/ad materials, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Sweepstakes if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to bad weather, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or corruption of any sort. In the event of cancellation, the prize will be awarded via random drawings from among all eligible Entries received for Sweepstakes Period prior to cancellation. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws. As a condition of entering the Sweepstakes, entrant agrees that: 1) under no circumstance will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for out-of-pocket expenses; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event will entrant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or other legal costs. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.  
    

1. ARBITRATION: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest the entrant; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys' fees, other than entrant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with participating in this Sweepstakes), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. 
    

1. CHOICE OF LAW: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY, AND WILL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT, AND THE FORUM AND VENUE FOR ANY DISPUTE SHALL BE IN CONNECTICUT. IF THE CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM IS NOT OTHERWISE RESOLVED THROUGH DIRECT DISCUSSIONS OR MEDIATION, IT SHALL THEN BE RESOLVED BY FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY JUDICIAL ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION SERVICES, INC., IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS STREAMLINED ARBITRATION RULES AND PROCEDURES OR SUBSEQUENT VERSIONS THEREOF (“JAMS RULES”). THE JAMS RULES FOR SELECTION OF AN ARBITRATOR SHALL BE FOLLOWED, EXCEPT THAT THE ARBITRATOR SHALL BE EXPERIENCED AND LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN CONNECTICUT. THE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL DAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PARTY BE ENTITLED TO RECOVER PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES OR OTHER SUCH RELATED COSTS OF BRINGING A CLAIM, OR TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT OR SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR ANY OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF. ENTRANTS AGREE ANY DISPUTE WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO CLASS ACTION.
