United Kingdom

The Cotswolds

How to Get There: Take a train from London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh (1.5 hours) for stunning views of the English countryside.

London

Madrid

Andalusia

The Sevilla-Santa Justa station is reachable from major cities like Madrid (just over 2.5 hours) or Barcelona (more then 6 hours), and Málaga-María Zambrano, the closest major train station to Marbella, is also easily reached from Madrid (under 3 hours).

Rome

Lake Como

Amalfi Coast

How Americans Are Finding Travel Inspiration Straight From Their Favorite Celebrities

According to a new survey by Trainline, Americans are actively looking to follow in their favorite A-Listers’ footsteps (or train tracks!). From replicating destination choices to restaurant reservations, here’s how travellers are finding inspo from their favorite celebs:

  • 51% of Americans said they are likely to book a trip to a destination after seeing a celebrity move to the location or visit regularly – and 30% actually have. 39% would go as far as dining at the same restaurants and 25% would stay in the same hotel.
  • Ben Affleck, Taylor Swift, and Rhianna rank among the top celebs who would most inspire Americans to book a getaway.
  • While the summer season may call for coastal getaways, Europe’s biggest cities remain tops when it comes to celeb-loved European destinations Americans would most like to visit, with London (44%), Rome (41%), and Paris (33%) taking the top spots.
  • Budget (62%) is the biggest barrier to recreating a celebrity-style European trip for most Americans, but 37% cited train travel’s budget-friendliness as its most appealing attribute. Others cited rail’s scenic, Instagrammable views (52%), the slower, romantic pace (36%), and the glamour and luxury (24%).
  • Nearly a third of Americans (30%) said they would visit three or more celebrity loved destinations on a single trip to Europe.
