Jo Fernández is a UK travel journalist who spent much of her career at the London Evening Standard, where she served as Travel Editor until 2015. Now working as a freelance travel writer, her favorite destinations are Spain, Turkey, and Croatia. Residing in Essex, she launched a website dedicated to the often-maligned county, I Love Essex, which has since expanded to cover East London, her favorite part of the capital.
Favorite train trip
London to The Hague. The journey begins with a train ride from London, then hopping on the ferry at Harwich to the Hook of Holland. Alternatively, you can travel via Rotterdam on Eurostar from St Pancras. Taking the train is a greener way to travel, and once there, you can continue the sustainable efforts with all the eco-friendly restaurants, shops, and activities.
