UK Train Stations A-Z

Did you know the UK is home to 2,563 train stations? This network of stations connects cities, towns and villages to the sprawling UK rail network. This number excludes the train stations on London Underground and the 181 heritage railways dotted across the country. Several UK cities also have more than one train station, with Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, Birmingham to name just a few. Some of the UK's smaller cities also act as key junctions such as Crewe, York (home of the National Railway Museum) and Ely with onward connections with some of the UK's train operators such as Virgin Trains, CrossCountry, Great Western Railway and Eurostar.

London is by far the largest rail hub in the UK with 12 railway stations in central London alone and far more in the outer suburbs. With this in mind, it is easy to see why London has such a large commuter population.

To find the nearest train station to you please use the A-Z picker below.

Within each station listing, you will find details on each railway station including information on facilities, ticket collection machines, car parking, taxi ranks, accessibility, catering outlets and WiFi.
