Mobile Tickets

1. Add your name on the payment screen and buy your ticket.
2. Your mobile ticket will be ready to download instantly in My Tickets.

1. Add the traveller’s name on the payment screen. They must have the latest version of the app to be able to use the ticket (iOS version 6.0 or later).
 They can download the app after you've bought the ticket. Just make sure their phone is compatible!
2. Pay for the ticket and you’ll see your ticket in the My Tickets section.
3. Do not tap the download ticket button.
4. You’ll receive a confirmation email.
5. Forward your confirmation email to the person you’re buying it for.
6. Ask the person you’re buying the ticket for to click Download your mobile ticket in the email.



This will retrieve the mobile ticket into their app automatically.

For most tickets, it's super simple. Just go to the My Tickets screen and select Manage my booking.  Everything happens online and takes just a few seconds to process.  Changes and refunds may come with a fee. 

If you lose your phone or can't see your mobile ticket, please contact Trainline on: 0333 202 2222. Calls are charged a local rate from a BT landline, other operators may vary. 

For security reasons, Mobile Tickets are locked to a specific device once you’ve downloaded them. Here’s how to move them to another device.

1. Tap View tickets for a specific booking in My Tickets.
2. Tap Options in the top left corner.
3. Select Move tickets in the menu. This will let you download the tickets to a different device.
4. On the other device, log in and your tickets will appear in My Tickets. Tap Download on the mobile ticket to load it on your chosen device.
5. If you change your mind you can always get them back by repeating the Move tickets process.

You can claim expenses for your mobile tickets in exactly the same way as for any other tickets.

1. Just visit the My Tickets screen in the app, select Manage by booking, and tap on Send expense receipt.
2. We’ll create a ticket receipt containing all the information your colleagues in finance need.
3. You can then share the receipt with your colleagues via email, or send it direct to Concur or Expensify.

An eticket comes as a PDF attached to an email, which you can either open from your email or in our app.

Mobile Tickets are just like etickets, except you can only open them directly in our app and you need to ‘activate’ the ticket before you use it. Mobile Tickets can’t be shared or used on more than one device.

If you need to, you can change your mobile ticket to a paper ticket that you can collect at the station.  

Once you’ve changed your mobile ticket to a paper ticket, it can’t be undone. 

Just tap Collect from station under Manage my booking on the ticket you want to collect from the station. 

Your mobile barcode will be replaced with a collection code. 

Leave a little extra time to print the ticket at the station.
