Competition in rail & Get Together

On the side of the InnoTrans rail fair, Trainline is hosting an event with the leading international stakeholders from the rail industry, politics and media to discuss how competition can benefit the sector.

The focus of the discussion will be on how competition can benefit the rail sector – with two sessions dedicated to rail operation and distribution. We will present a study we commissioned with the Politecnico of Milan on the viability of various business models in European long-distance rail. Examining the still limited experiences of open-access in Europe, the study investigates the possible impact of different scenarios, including the potential of a low-cost model similar to air. Participants will hear from the leading European rail carriers, as well as distributors and regulators active in this space. You will find below an outline of the provisional agenda.

More details coming soon.

We are looking forward to your attendance!
