Chiltern Railways' services are expected to be affected during 23rd Feb by wind gusts of up to 70 mph blowing obstacles onto the track. A 50 mph speed restriction is in place and expected to remain until 1700.
As a result, trains on the Oxford route are expected to run up to 30 minutes late, on the Birmingham route expected to run up to 1 hour late, and on local routes between London and Aylesbury / Amersham / Princes Risborough & High Wycombe up to 15 minutes late.
Chiltern Railways are aiming for trains to start each journey on time; unfortunately some trains may be delayed or cancelled where the train is severely delayed on its previous journey. There are likely to be delays during the evening peak due to the speed restriction preventing trains getting to London in time for their scheduled services.
