Trains to St Neots

St Neots is a busy commuter station about 1.5 miles east of the centre of this Cambridgeshire market town. Situated on the East Coast Main Line, it is served by high speed and stopping services to London Kings Cross, with the fastest trains into the capital taking just 40 minutes. The usual off-peak service is one train every half hour to London Kings Cross, and the same frequency northbound to Peterborough. St Neots station was opened in 1850 as one of the original stations on the southern section of the Great Northern Railway. The station had an upgrade in 2014, with a new footbridge connecting the platforms via lifts and providing access from both sides of the station. It's about 25 minutes' walk from the station to the town centre, or just under 20 minutes by bus. The River Great Ouse runs through the town, offering some pleasant riverside walks into the surrounding countryside.

Station details & facilities

The station's main entrance, ticket hall, toilets and cafe are on Hawkshead Road, with another entrance on the Love's Farm side. There are ticket machines and cycle storage on both sides. Most services to Peterborough use platform 1, while most services to London use platform 4. All four platforms are accessible via the footbridge and stairs or lifts. Outside the main entrance is a car park and taxi office.
