Berwick station is in rural East Sussex surrounded by a handful of houses and businesses. On the other side of the level crossing from the station is a Victorian signal box, still with its original workings dating back to 1879. Situated on the East Coastway Line, the usual service for the station is one train per hour to Brighton and one per hour to Ore via Eastbourne and Hastings.
Running directly past the station is Vanguard Way, a long-distance path which links the suburbs of London with the south coast at Newhaven. Other popular nearby walking routes include the South Downs Way and the Wealdway, helping visitors explore the variety of beautiful landscapes in the area. If you're travelling east from Berwick station, keep an eye out of the window for the famous Long Man of Wilmington - a 72m tall, hill figure on the side of Windover Hill.
