How do I exchange my booking?

 
Whether you can exchange a particular ticket and any fees associated to this can be found in My Booking. Only the date and time of travel can be changed from the original booking, not the route. Please select the carrier that you will be travelling with to find out more:

Deutsche Bahm has a variety of different fares, all of which have different conditions for making an exchange. Please consult your booking confirmation email or in My Booking for details.

If your fare allows your ticket to be exchanged, you can do this directly on Deutsche Bahn website.

These types of ticket can’t be changed, sorry. However, the fare conditions usually allow you to refund or partially refund your ticket so you can buy the new ones you want.

Standard or Standard Premier tickets

Good news, you can change the date and time of your ticket at any time before the planned departure of your original train.

Changes are subject to a fee of £30 for Standard tickets and £40 for Standard Premier tickets plus any difference in fare, per person per leg of the journey. If the new fare is less expensive, unfortunately we can't refund the difference.

Business Premier tickets

These tickets can be changed free of charge up to 60 days after your planned departure.

Italo has a variety of different fares, all of which have different conditions for making an exchange. Please consult your booking confirmation email or in My Booking for details.

You will require an account to view My Booking, to create an account simply click on the 'Register to manage my booking' button in your confirmation email.

If your Italo fare allows your ticket to be exchanged, you will be able to exchange your tickets directly on Italo's website in the section "Manage Journey". Just follow the instructions below and it should be very simple.

Trenitalia has a variety of different fares, which also have different conditions for making an exchange. Please consult your booking confirmation email or in My Booking for details.

There are many Trenitalia fares that only permit exchanges to be made at a ticket counter at a station in Italy. An example of this is Trenitalia's Economy fare.

If your Trenitalia fare allows your ticket to be exchanged, you will be able to exchange your tickets directly on Trenitalia's website in the section "Manage tickets". Just follow the instructions below and it should be very simple.

Ouigo tickets can be exchanged up to 1 hr before the trains departure.

You can make an exchange as long as the departure and arrival stations are identical to the original booking. Exchanges are subject to a 10€ fee per passenger and any difference in fare.

Ouigo exchanges can only be made online, not at the station, and must be made via the Ouigo website in the section "My Bookings".

 

Sorry, these types of ticket can not be changed or refunded

There are 2 different fare types for SBB trains-

Supersaver ticket - sorry, these types of ticket cannot be changed or refunded

Individual and Regional Ticket - These types of ticket can’t be changed. However, the fare conditions usually allow you to refund or partially refund your ticket so you can buy the new ones you want.

These types of ticket can’t be changed, sorry. However many WESTbahn tickets are valid for more than one day and the fare conditions usually allow you to refund your ticket so you can buy the new ones you want.
