Amended Services on GWR - October, November & December

Great Western Railways (GWR) have informed us that due to late notice timetable amendments, the below services have been amended.

 

08:00 London Paddington to Penzance:

  • On 28th October, 4th November and 2nd December the 08:00 service from London Paddington will now depart at 07:57.
  • Tickets will be valid on this service with no amendments required to their tickets.
  • All other calling points remain at the same time and the scheduled arrival time at Penzance remains the same. 

08:05 Cardiff Central to London Paddington:

  • On the 28th October, 4th and 11th November the 08:05 service from Cardiff Central will now depart at 07:59.
  • Tickets will be valid on this service with no amendments required to their tickets.
  • All other calling points remain at the same time and the scheduled arrival time at London Paddington remains the same. 

19:12 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads:

  • Between 31st October and 2nd November the 19:12 service from London Paddington will no longer call at Bristol Temple Meads.
  • You will need to travel by the restrictions set on your ticket i.e. Off-Peak or Anytime. 
  • PLEASE NOTE if you have a Super Off-Peak tickets cannot travel earlier due to time restrictions and will need to travel on the 19:30 London Paddington service. 
  • Advance ticket holders can travel on the earlier or later service than their booked time.

21:15 and 22:45 London Paddington to Swansea:

  • Between 19th and 22nd November the 21:15 and 22:45 service from London Paddington and Swansea has been diverted between Cardiff Central and Bridgend.
  • As a result, these services have been retimed at Bridgend, Port Talbot Parkway, Neath and Swansea.
  • You will need to travel by the restrictions set on your ticket i.e. Off-Peak or Anytime. 
  • Advance ticket holders can travel on the earlier or later service than their booked time

 

If you are able to travel on alternative services, you must travel on services earlier or later than their booked time, providing this is on services operated by Great Western Railways.

If you have connecting services with alternative train operators you must consider this when choosing when to travel as you will need to stick to their connecting scheduled time.

9th September 2018 - 08:57 service between London Paddington to Penzance:

  • Retimed - now departing London Paddington at 08:22 and Reading at 09:02
  • No longer calling at Newbury
  • All other stations remain the same, with same arrival time of 14.33 at Penzance

Travel information:

  • Customers can travel on the earlier re-timed train from London Paddington and Reading, original seating will still be honoured for travel.
  • Customers that cannot make the earlier departure from London Paddington or Reading can travel on the next available service (09:57 London Paddington to Newquay).
  • Customers travelling to Newbury can travel on the earlier or later service than their booked journey, however GWR recommends travelling later, once normal services resume.

19th October - 19:03 service between London Paddington and Penzance:

  • Service will now terminate at Plymouth at 22:24

Travel information:

  • Customers can change at Plymouth at 22:24 and board the next available service to their arrival station.
  • Customers can travel on the earlier 19:32 service from London Paddington to Penzance.
