1. How to get to Twickenham Stadium, London
Home to England’s national rugby team, Twickenham is the second-largest stadium in the UK. It has a capacity of 82,000 - that’s a lot of rugby fans making their way to South-West London at the same time. Luckily, there are plenty of different travel options to make your way to the stadium.
The nearest station to the stadium is the appropriately named Twickenham. It’s just a 10-minute walk away. Major stations in and around London offer direct trains to Twickenham, including London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Ascot and Reading.

2. How to get to the Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Able to hold 50,000 rugby fans, Aviva Stadium in central Dublin is Ireland’s national stadium and home to their national rugby team. The stadium boasts an incredible atmosphere during matches and that’s not just for rugby, as the Europa League Final was also held there in 2011.
From Dublin city centre, it’s around a 38-minute walk to the Aviva Stadium or a similar amount of time if you take the bus. Want to get there a bit quicker? Hop on the DART commuter rail system to Lansdowne Road station, which is situated right next to Aviva Stadium.

3. How to get to the BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
The largest stadium in Scotland, BT Murrayfield can seat 67,000 people and is the proud home of Scottish rugby. Located in Edinburgh, the city’s great transport links make it an easy stadium to reach from within Edinburgh and further afield.
BT Murrayfield Stadium is in the western corner of Edinburgh, around a 33-minute walk from the city centre. The quickest way to get there is by tram. Extra services run on match days from a range of stations including Edinburgh Airport, St Andrew Square and Haymarket station. If you want to travel by train, Haymarket is the nearest station to Murrayfield.

4. How to get to the Principality Stadium, Cardiff
Heading to a Wales match this year? The Principality Stadium – formerly the Millennium Stadium – is home to the Welsh rugby team and has previously been voted the best rugby stadium in the world. It's hosted iconic matches since opening in 1999 and the roar of Welsh fans when the roof is closed is said to be unrivalled.
With the Principality Stadium able to hold over 73,000 people, expect public transport to be extremely busy on match days. The most direct way to travel there is by train. The stadium is just a few minutes’ walk from Cardiff Central station, or a 15-minute walk from Cardiff Queen Street.

5. How to get to the Stadio Olimpico, Rome
The Stadio Olimpico in the North of Rome is the famous home of AS Roma football club, as well as Italy’s home Six Nation matches. It’s also previously hosted prestigious events like the Olympics and the World Cup.
If you’re travelling on the Metro, the nearest station is Ottaviano. From there it’s around a 30-minute walk. If you don’t fancy the walk, there’s also a bus that departs from outside the station that will take you the rest of the way.
You can also reach Stadio Olimpico by the No. 2 tram, just hop off at Mancini and stroll across the Tiber River to reach your destination.

6. How to get to Orange Vélodrome, Marseille
Orange Vélodrome is located in the south of Marseille, about 2 miles from the city centre and less than 1 mile from Marseille Saint-Charles station.
To reach the stadium, take the train to Marseille and get off at Marseille Saint-Charles station, then jump on metro line 2. Finally, get off at either Rond-Point du Prado or Sainte Marguerite Dromel (both located on different sides of Orange Vélodrome).
7. How to get to Decathlon Arena, Lille
Located 15 minutes from Lille city centre, as well as 10 minutes from Lille-Lesquin airport, the Decathlon Arena in Lille can be easily reached by public transport.
Simply take the train to Lille and get off at Lille Europe or Lille Flandres station. From there, you can continue your journey to the stadium by metro: take line 1 and get off at 'Cité Scientifique' or '4 Cantons' - you'll be only a short walk away from the stadium.
8. How to get to Groupama Stadium, Lyon
Groupama Stadium is located around 7 miles from Lyon city centre. To get there, you'll need to take a train to Lyon and get off at Lyon Part-Dieu station. From there, take tram line 3 and get off at Decines Grand Large station, which is only a 10-minute walk from the stadium.

Book in advance
Most train companies release their cheapest tickets in advance. In the UK it’s usually 12 weeks before the date of travel, whereas in France and Italy it can be between 3 to 6 months ahead of time.
