Trains to Aberdeen Airport
Aberdeen Airport is an international transportation hub for passengers travelling from Northern Scotland and further afield. To get there, many choose to take the train to over driving to save on both money and time. The airport is in the Dyce suburb of Aberdeen, just under 6 miles from the city centre. This runs from the train station 7 days a week, every 10 minutes during weekdays and every 20 minutes during weekends.
Aberdeen is well connected to the UK mainland train network. Direct trains operated by First ScotRail, LNER and CrossCountry run from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle and London Kings Cross stations. This makes it easy to get to Aberdeen Airport terminal from UK mainland stations via train.

Getting to Aberdeen Airport by train

First ScotRail services run direct to Aberdeen train station from Edinburgh station and Glasgow station. LNER trains also run from London Kings Cross station via Newcastle and Edinburgh, and CrossCountry trains run from Birmingham. This makes Aberdeen Airport easily accessible from the entire UK mainland rail network.
From Aberdeen train station, you can take the Stagecoach Jet 727 bus service direct from Aberdeen to Aberdeen Airport terminal. Services run at 10-minute intervals during weekdays and at 20-minute intervals during weekends. The journey takes 30 minutes on average, depending on traffic. Tickets cost £3.20 for a single journey. Buses run from around 03:30 to 23:30 from Monday to Saturday and from 05:00 to 22:30 on Sunday.
You can also get a direct train from Aberdeen to Dyce train station and a taxi from there to Aberdeen Airport terminal. Dyce train station is only 2 miles from the airport. For those who have an early flight the next day, the Speedbird Inn Aberdeen Airport hotel lies only 350 metres from the terminal building. Shuttle buses are available to and from the hotel.

Aberdeen airport is of reasonable size and has adequate places to eat, drink, shop and relax before your flight. As you enter, the check-in desks will be on your left and the passage ahead of you leads to the security gates and departure hall.
