LNER launches new timetable

From 14 December, LNER will be rolling out the biggest timetable change on the East Coast Main Line in a decade. The new timetable means faster journeys, more frequent trains and improved weekend services across the board. 

Highlights include: 

  • Faster London – Edinburgh journeys (averaging 4h 10m)
  • An extra service between London – Newcastle, every hour during the day
  • More frequent trains every hour between London – York
  • Additional weekend services across many routes
  • Resulting in an extra 10,000 services a year! 

Alongside these, stations such as Peterborough, Grantham, Doncaster and Wakefield will continue to see regular services, while new services bring even more choice across the network.
