There are departures around every thirty minutes for travellers making the trip from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverly. Travel times range from between four and a half to five hours depending on the route and the number of changes required. East Coast Trains run the bulk of the services between these two cities, with providers such as Grand Central and CrossCountry operating certain legs of the trip on indirect journeys.
Wireless internet connections are available free of charge to first class travellers on East Coast Trains and for a fee to standard fare customers. There is a restaurant car onboard, while first class travellers can enjoy complimentary refreshments. An at-seat trolley service is available for all passengers.
