Trains to Wombwell

Open since 1897 Wombwell train station serves the small town of Wombwell, South Yorkshire. Services and operations at the station are managed by Northern. Passengers travelling from Wombwell can access stations including Leeds, Huddersfield, and Sheffield. Throughout the week an hourly service arrives at platform 1 en route to the city of Sheffield stops on this route include Elsecar, Chapeltown and Meadow Hall. The fastest journey time to Huddersfield from Wombwell is 54 minutes this service is available from platform 2.

The station offers step-free access to both platforms, however, please be aware the access is via ramps that do have a steep gradient. Facilities at the station include a shelter on each platform for passengers awaiting their train service, additional outdoor seating and a help point on platform 1. A drop off point is available at the station, which is located next to the car park. There are no ticketing facilities at Wombwell train station passengers wishing to travel from here must either purchase a ticket in advance or once on board the train service.
