Trains to Upper Tyndrum

One of two stations serving the village of Tyndrum, Upper Tyndrum Railway Station sees regular Abellio ScotRail trains operating on the Fort William branch of the West Highland Line. Monday to Saturday, three trains from Upper Tyndrum serve Mallaig and one serves Fort William; southbound, three trains run to Glasgow Queen Street and one runs to London Euston. Sunday services include one train northbound to Mallaig in winters with a summer extension to two, and similar rates southbound.  

Facilities at Upper Tyndrum include a station car park and set of bicycle storage facilities. As there are no ticketing provisions at this station, passengers wishing to travel from Upper Tyndrum should purchase tickets in advance or on the train from a guard. Information on train running updates may be obtained via the customer help point located on the platform. The station’s platforms are accessed by stairs only, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
