Ty Glas Railway Station serves the business and industrial parks in Llanishen and Heath with regular Arriva Trains Wales services operating on the Coryton Line. Trains from Ty Glas depart on a half-hourly schedule during typical off-peak daytimes, with trains running southbound to Cardiff Central and thence Radyr via the City Line and northbound to Coryton. In the evenings, trains run hourly in each direction. There is currently no Sunday service on the Coryton Line.

Ty Glas Station has minimal facilities, with its single platform having only a basic waiting shelter with seating for customer use. Tickets should be purchased from the self-service ticketing machine located on the platform. Train running information is provided on digital departure and arrival screens.
