Originally built to provide easy transportation for the strawberry industry, Swanwick train station is today a busy station. With 3 principle routes its South Western Railway and Southern trains offer 3 services per hour in both directions – west to Southampton and east to Portsmouth, Southsea, Brighton and London Victoria via Gatwick Airport. The train station is actually located in Park Gate – a thriving community with a range of shops and places to eat and drink within walking distance.
