Salford Crescent Train Station
Salford Crescent train station is located near the University of Salford, in Greater Manchester. It's also the nearest station for the regenerated waterfront area of MediaCityUK, where the BBC calls home and ITV films Coronation Street.

With over a million passengers passing through a year, the station underwent a £12 million upgrade in 2012, with the ticket office now straddling University Road West, opening up the two platforms, and the accessible footbridge added to link the ticket office and platforms. The station, two miles west of the much larger Manchester Piccadilly on the Manchester to Preston Line, operates a regular service to Manchester Airport and Manchester Victoria from platform 1, and out to Blackpool, Southport and Clitheroe from platform 2.

A footbridge, which runs the width of the station has both lifts and steps and connects the ticket office and both platforms on the station's single island.
