Trains to Navigation Road

Navigation Road train station serves the east of Altrincham with Northern and Manchester Metrolink services on the heavy-rail Mid-Cheshire Line and the light-rail Altrincham Line. Northern-operated trains from Navigation Road depart hourly for services between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester via Stockport and Northwich. On Sundays, this service runs two-hourly. On the Altrincham Line, trains from Navigation Road operate every six minutes during the day and every twelve minutes in the evenings and on Sundays for a total of 10 trams per hour to Altrincham, 5 trams to Bury, and 5 to Piccadilly.

Facilities at Navigation Road train station include a station car park with room for 70 vehicles and spaces for cycle storage. As the station does not have any ticketing provisions, tickets must be purchased ahead of time or on board from a guard. A waiting shelter with bench seating is installed on platform 1 close to the cycle storage. There's ramped access to platform 1.
