Trains to Kildonan

Kildonan Railway Station serves Kildonan Lodge in the north of Scotland with regular ScotRail service on the Far North Line. Currently, four trains from Kildonan depart daily to Inverness and, in the opposite direction, four trains to Wick via Thurso. As Kildonan Station serves a very small area with a sparse population, it is currently the fifth least used railway station in the whole of the United Kingdom and the least used station on the Far North line.  

The station at Kildonan has basic facilities, including bicycle storage on the single platform. There are no ticketing provisions at this station, so passengers should take care to purchase tickets for travel from Kildale ahead of time or on board from a guard. ScotRail smartcards may be used at the station validators. A basic waiting shelter with bench seating is available for customer use on the platform. There is level access to the single platform, but it crosses over rough ground.
