Trains to Harlech

Harlech train station serves the town centre of Harlech in Gwynedd with regular services by Arriva Trains Wales on the Cambrian Coast Line. Trains from Harlech operate once every two hours in both directions, Monday through Saturday. During summer, three Sunday trains serve the station, but only one train each way operates during winter. Many southbound trains from Harlech continue past Shrewsbury to Birmingham stations, while northbound trains continue to Porthmadog and Pwllheli.

A particularly popular station for commuters, including schoolchildren, Harlech train station is outfitted with modern waiting shelters and bench seating on both platforms. Passengers travelling from Harlech may use the station’s cycle storage lockers and car park but should take care to purchase tickets in advance or on the train, as the station itself does not have ticketing provisions. Train-running information is provided via departure and arrival screens and automated announcements on the station PA system. Both platforms are accessed via steps and steep ramp, making it not suitable for wheelchair users.
