Trains to Hamilton Central

One of the town’s two major rail stations, Hamilton Central train station serves Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, with Abellio ScotRail service on the Argyle Line. Two trains from Hamilton Central operate per hour to Motherwell and Larkhall each. One Motherwell train runs to Cumbernauld via Whifflet. Trains bound for Glasgow call at all stops and proceed through to Dalmuir via Clydebank or Milngavie. On Sundays, trains operate half-hourly to Motherwell and Milngavie and hourly on the Larkhall to Balloch route.

Facilities at Hamilton Central train station include a manned ticket office with self-service ticket machines, waiting rooms with bench seating on both platforms, customer help points and fully accessible toilet facilities on platform 1. There's a car park located adjacent to platform 2. Customer help points are positioned on both platforms. Train running information is provided via digital display screens and automated announcements on the PA system. Step-free access is provided throughout the station.
