Giggleswick train station has formerly been known as both Settle train station and Settle Old train station. In 1877 the station was given its current name. Daily services are available towards both Leeds and Lancaster on the Leeds to Morecambe Line. Heading to the city of Leeds will take 1 hour and 13 minutes, there are five services available from Monday to Saturday and four on a Sunday. Heading westbound five services are available daily from Monday to Saturday en route to Lancaster, the fastest journey time for this round is 44 minutes. 

The station is unstaffed, and there are no facilities to buy a ticket from this station. Giggleswick train station also offers a free car park for any railway passengers. Wheelchairs users have unaided access to platform 1 directly from the car park. Access to platform 2 is via the barrow crossing this may cause problems for wheelchair users trying to access this platform.
