Trains to Giffnock

Located a short 15-minute journey from Glasgow Central, Giffnock train station offers regular services into the Scottish capital. The station provides a large car park free to use for all rail passengers. There's also an office at this station where passengers can obtain tickets for a journey. Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased or collected via machines on each platform. Platform 1 at Giffnock features two train services per hour, which travel northeasterly and terminate at Glasgow central. Platform 2 has two trains per hour, which head southeasterly toward East Kilbride. Abellio ScotRail manages all services and operations at this station.

Seating and shelters are provided on both platforms, and step-free access is available to both sides via ramps. However, please be aware that the bridge connecting the two platforms is not wheelchair accessible. Anyone requiring step-free access to platform 2 will need to approach via the entrance in Forres Avenue.
