Trains to Disley

Disley train station serves the Cheshire village of Disley with regular Northern service on the Manchester to Buxton Line. Disley’s two platforms see trains depart on an hourly basis, with one northbound train from Disley departing to Manchester Piccadilly and one southbound to Buxton. At peak hours, additional services operate. In the early morning and evening peak periods, select northbound trains extend beyond Manchester Piccadilly to a number of destinations, including Clitheroe, Kirkby, Wigan North Western, Blackpool North, and Barrow-in-Furness. Sunday services are also hourly in each direction.

Disley station’s manned ticket office is open during morning peak periods (from approximately 07:10 until 10:10). At all other times, tickets must be purchased either ahead of time or on board from a ticket agent. Automated announcements and departure and arrival screens provide train-running information, and passengers may use the waiting shelters and seating on either platform. Step-free access is available to both platforms via ramps.
