Trains to Crossflatts

Crossflatts railway station occupies a scenic spot just a few miles northwest of Leeds and Bradford along the Airedale Line. It was opened in the early ‘80s on a new site, unlike other stations along the line which were simply refurnished. It’s often used by students travelling to and from Bingley Grammar School. The station, both its platforms, and the trains that pass through are maintained and operated by Northern. It’s an unstaffed station and passengers are required to purchase tickets online in advance or using one of the platforms ticket vending machines. Facilities include digital screens, passenger announcement system, and step-free access. There are three services an hour to Skipton in just 21 minutes and Leeds in 26 minutes.

When you disembark at Crossflatts, there’s plenty of things to do near the station. To experience a little history, take a visit to the 18^th-century Bingley Five-Rise Locks. Alternatively, if you’ve brought your clubs, swing by the Bingley St Ives Golf Club to tee off along the fairways of this challenging course.
