Bush Hill Park train station is surrounded by wide tree-lined streets in the London Borough of Enfield in London Travelcard Zone 5. The station opened in 1880 after a few large detached houses on the west of the tracks attracted middle-class residents to the leafy London suburb. The next wave of smaller terraced houses to the east drew many railway employees based at Enfield Town depot, and the area continue to grow in to an eclectic mix of old and new buildings, pubs, bars and a small parade of shops.
London Overground trains leave Bush Hill Park twice every hour for London Liverpool Street from platform 1 and towards Enfield from platform 2, and additional services run on Tottenham Hotspur match days, close as it is to the club's home ground on White Hart Lane, and the Bush Hill Park pub on the east of the tracks has a number of screens for sport fixtures.
